Blackhawk Transport and Logistics gives back to the Louisiana Flood Victims
Longview, TX: On August 21, 2016, Blackhawk Transport and Logistics provided transportation for The United Methodist Church to deliver flood buckets to the Louisiana flood victims. “The United Methodist Church is always one of the first responders in any natural disaster,” commented Debbie Cardwell, Ministry Secretary at Greggton, “we asked our volunteers to make the buckets and do the loading and unloading, but we needed your (Blackhawk’s) help with the transportation.” Blackhawk Transport Account Manager, Butch Cummings, assisted in making this move possible. “We were glad to do this as a humanitarian effort to help the people of Baton Rouge clean up the flood damage,” stated Butch.
The buckets will be distributed this week to residents in the Baton Rouge area that are beginning the clean up process. Blackhawk is grateful to have been able to help out surrounding communities in a time of need.
